8 More Days…and Counting!
by Josh on Jun.24, 2009, under Youth Camp 2009
The clock is ticking away towards July 3 as we head towards Youth Camp 2009! 8 days seems like a long time, but it isn’t. It’s fast approaching.
But I can’t help but wonder if there is someone out there, who wants to go to Youth Camp 2009 but has not decided to go. I had the blessings of meeting lots of awesome, intelligent, awesome people at the Youth Camp Rally earlier in June.
For those of you who are attending, I want to challenge you. I want to challenge you to pray for that one friend who is not going to Youth Camp 2009. I want to challenge you to BRING A FRIEND who does not know Christ to Youth Camp 2009. But most important, I want to challenge you to pray for that friend who does not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
In Matthew 9:35-38, Jesus talks about how the harvest is plentiful, but the harvesters are few. It’s the same with our friends and family. There are plenty of family and friends who don’t know Jesus, but there are few who are willing to share the Gospel, to share Jesus’s unconditional love, grace and mercy.
Youth Camp 2009 may be 8 days away, but these 8 days may ultimately be that difference for your friend or family member. I want you to pray with me this week to pray for Youth Camp 2009. Pray that the presence of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit will be at the Camp. Pray that God will work in everyone there, staffer, counselor and camper alike. Pray for friends and family who have are undecided or have decided not to goto Youth Camp to join us at Youth Camp 2009. Pray that God will change hearts and move schedules around to allow friends and family to come to Youth Camp 2009.
But most importantly, Pray for those out there who are looking for God’s love, God’s grace, God’s mercy.
It isn’t too late to make a difference in their lives. 8 days may seem very short, but it’s plenty of time to bring hope to a loved one.

by Josh on Jun.23, 2009, under Youth Camp 2009
Can you believe it? In 9 days, 21 hours, 30 minutes, we’ll be departing for Youth Camp 2009. T-Shirts are getting printed. Handbooks being written. Programming being scheduled!
But here’s the most interesting twist. We have a challenge from Rick Zuniga himself to shatter a record. He wants us to shatter the number of campers we’ve had at past Youth Camps! (this excludes Counselors and Staff) So you know what? We’re going to do it, but we’re going to need your help.
Registered Campers: INVITE ALL YOUR FRIENDS! PRAY FOR THEM! ASK THEM TO JOIN US JULY 3-5!!
Potential Campers: Are you interested in going to Youth Camp 2009? I hope you are, because we’re still taking campers!
So Reserve your spot today!

YUM!! Fundraising at the Awesome California Pizza Kitchen!
by Josh on May.24, 2009, under Fundraising, Youth Camp 2009
Looking towards Youth Camp 2009, we know there are students with families who have been abunduntly blessed! But most importantly, we know there are students who don’t know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
We want to reach out  to those students who do not know the Gospel, or Jesus. Youth Camp is and has always been a safe place for people to discover Jesus’s Love, a quiet time to find the true love and mercy of Christ. We need your help to share the Gospel at Youth Camp 2009 by offering much needed scholarships to students who don’t know the Gospel but want to come to Youth Camp 2009.
Thanks to the wonderful folks on the fundraising team, they’ve arranged a series of fundraising. The first one being THIS MONDAY, May 25, 2009 at the famous California Pizza Kitchen, in the beautiful city of Pasadena.
The generous people at the California Pizza Kitchen have agreed to donate 20% of your check to Youth Camp 2009 when you dine in or order take out. What you simply have to do is print out the flyer you see below and present it to the server when you pay for your check. California Pizza Kitchen does the rest and you get to enjoy some mouth watering pastas, delicious, hand made pizzas, or maybe a moist, sweet, delicious red velvet cake. Whatever you order, it helps out Youth Camp 2009!
We’ll see you on Monday at the Pasadena California Pizza Kitchen at Plaza Las Fuentes, located at 99 N. Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, CA on Monday, May 25, 2009!
